Day of ashura or 10 muharram 2024 is expected to take place on the 16th or 17th of july, 2024 (10th muharram accordingly). For shia muslims the day commemorates the death of husayn ibn ali and for sunni muslims when moses and followers left egypt and where saved by god seperating the red sea.
